Movie Review: Interstellar
So yesterday I went to the movies with the family to watch Interstellar by Christopher Nolan, (director of the Batman Trilogy) and it was a pretty amazing experience. Even though I went to a Cinepolis, (a theater with nice comfortable seats, food brought to you and really good popcorn) the movie itself was spectacular and it is worth the three hours of watching.

YES, you heard me. Three hours (actually two hours with forty nine minutes, same length as Titanic) of sitting down on a chair (cumfy for me) and staring at the screen. Even though you may think that is boring, IT IS NOT, and coming from me (a teenager) should make you change your opinion.

Okay, before we talk about the review, I need to give you a some details about the movie.

Interstellar is a movie about a man named Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) and his family living in planet earth. Planet Earth is dying, or at least there is barely any food left because there are dust bowls, and they are killing the goods in the fields. Cooper and his daughter Murph discover a place with robots and machinery that is not accessible to anyone and everyone. This place is NASA. They discover that the only way to save Planet Earth is by going to space, into a wormhole, and then find a planet that has enough resources (water, breathable air, living temperatures, etc) to save humanity.

This movie talks a lot about the Theory of Relativity, which is a theory, formulated by Albert Einstein, that all motion must be defined relative to a frame or reference and that space and time are relative, rather than absolute concepts. They also mention Murphy's Law, and this is the reason for (SPOILER!!! I guess) Murph having that name. If you think this whole talk about astrophysics, and quantum physics is boring, then you are probably right. Physics is a topic that everyone absolutely dislikes, specially in high school. But if you think about it, this movie will teach you quite some things about the theories, laws, topics and things like gravity, velocity (all types of velocity) and speed, so if you want to learn more about these kinds of topics, then I recommend you to start with this movie. (I also recommend you watching Cosmos, it will be a great segue before watching this movie).

Now, for the moment of TRUTH. I give this movie an…..

A

The reason why this movie gets an A is because it was very good, it was a great physics lesson for me, and it made me think if the events in that movie could happen in the future. This movie is also very realistic, and it is something that could happen later (way way way later) in the future, and we just won’t know it.

Well guys, thanks for reading this review of Interstellar. If you guys liked it, then just pass it on to friends, family, friends of friends, enemies, and whoever you think would enjoy reading these posts. Also, videos will be coming soon, so you will not have to read, you will get to watch.

Hasta La Vista Babies, and Happy Veterans Day. :)

What to Watch

10/26/2014

So maybe you decide to go to the movies, and either take your date or go out with some friends (going alone works too), but you do not decide what movie you want because either they all look good, or they all just look terribly bad.

Well my friends, I have found the answer to all your questions, and if you want to go out and watch a movie this week, then I recommend you to take a good look at this blog because it is about to get good.

The first movie that you should consider watching is, "Ouija." Even though this movie does not look "as good" as the others, it does have that "Halloween-ish, scary movie, so if you want to go and have a little "spook," then go out with your pals (To a cheap movie theater though, it is not worth more than six dollars) and have some fun.

Another movie that is more of a "family movie" (It would also be a great date movie), is "The Book of Life." This film/cartoon is about a young man named Manolo, and he falls in love with a girl, but he has the choice either to pick her, or his family ("Romeo and Juliet"). This movie would be very enjoyable because it takes place during "Dia de los Muertos" day in Mexico. This film would not only teach you a little about a Mexican tradition, but it will give you the chance to buy and eat popcorn.

Hope you enjoyed this post and...
Hasta la vista, Amigos.

Did You Know?

October 13 2014

Today's topic will be about some "did you knows" that I picked. Since it is October already, today you will see things that you probably do not know about scaryyyyy movies. Today's topic: Friday The 13th

So sit back, relax and HAVE FUN!!!

 Friday The 13th
Yes, out old pal Jason Vorhees. Everyone was scared of him, because of his creepy looks, his weird hockey mask, and the fact that even if you ran a thousand miles, he would still get you...WALKING.
But did you know that Jason Vorhees, was not the original "Friday The 13th" protagonist/antagonist? People ask "who was it then?" Well, it was his mother.
The setting of the first film was that some camp counselors go to Camp Crystal Lake to train other people, but (as usual in movies) there was a killer. Well later they find out that the killer was Pamela Vorhees (Jason's mother) and she was killing them because she did not want them there. What a great excuse.
In fact, according to Victor Miller, Jason was only meant as a plot device and not intended to continue on his mother's grisly work. Maybe that is why the rest of the movies were just....horrible.

Well my friends, thanks a lot for reading this interesting 'Did You Know?' I will be posting more things about Halloween, and I will also be posting videos to make this blog more fun and entertaining. Hope you enjoyed, and...

Happy Birthday!

October 1, 2014

Since it is the first day of the month today, I will share with my amazing audience someone that turned forty five today. If I knew this amazing guy, I would wish him a Happy Birthday!

This person was in one of the funniest movies that I (and everyone, I bet) has watched. This movie made everyone laugh their butt off alone, with friends, with family, with a date, and even with strangers. This man has made my life more enjoyable, and I truly wish him a happy birth day, and I would tell him that his movie "The Hangover," was one of the funniest films I have ever watched.

Happy Birthday Zach Galifianakis !!!

Daily News

September 24, 2014

So I have decided to add a new section to my blog called "Daily News." I hope it works out, and I hope is fun and entertaining. And also a "The Good, Bad and Ugly" section would be great too. HERE WE GO!

The Walking Dead

Tyler James Williams, well-known actor for the TV series, "Everybody Hates Chris," will be playing the character Noah, in "The Walking Dead." This will be a new character to the story, since the character of Noah is not in the Robert Kirkman comics. Although we do not know anything about who the character will be, his role in the story, or what season his first appearance will be in, we know for sure he will be in the show, because he was spotted on the set in Atlanta, and THR has already revealed his name.

That's all for today, folks.

I will make sure I add more sections for this blog, and if things do not get posted daily, then they will be every other day. Also, there will be videos coming soon,

Have a great day, and stay tuned!

Films Based on Books

List of 5 Films Based on Books:

Title
Description
Picture
5. The Lord of The Rings Trilogy
The Lord of The Rings Trilogy were three books written by J. R. R. Tolkien. The movies won several Oscars, but the third one (The Return of The King) had won eleven Oscars.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
4. Die Hard
Die Hard? A novel? Yes it was. This movie, with Bruce Willis and directed by John McTiernan, was inspired from the novel Nothing Lasts Forever, by Roderick Thorp. Rotten Tomatoes calls it “a definitive holiday action classic,” and they gave it a rating of 92%
Die Hard (1988)
3. Amityville Horror
It is almost October, and what is October known for? Yes, you got it, Fall. The real answer is Halloween. The Amityville Horror was a film directed by Stuart Rosenberg. The book was written by Jay Anson, in 1977, and it is “based on a true story” (Yes, quote on quote people).

2. The Birds
Another Halloween topic (probably the last one on this list) would have to be “The Birds,” by Daphne du Maurier is a book about birds attacking people (how cheesy, but hey, it’s Hitchcock) and killing them. This is suppose to, or it is seen as a horror. “The Birds” was directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and it was one of the scariest movies from back then.

1. Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
And number one is…..
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? So, who framed him?
The reason why this is number one is because this is the best (at least one of them) movie that we, and even people on their twenties, watched this movie in our childhood years. “Who Censored Roger Rabbit?” was a book written by Gary K. Wolf, in 1981. This movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis, in 1988. This movie was one of the greatest movies that I have ever seen. It is both funny and mysterious, and if you have not watched it, then stop reading this blog and go watch it.
Then please come back...please.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
All of these movies, and books, were great and fun, but there are still more out there.

One TIP: Read the book before you watch the movie, always look if the movie you want to watch was based on a novel, and if it was, then take my advice, and go read it, then watch the movie.

Movies Vs. Books

Movies Vs. Books

Have you ever read a book, and turned out to be horrible? Or the other way around? If so, then this blog is good for you.

Most books we read are always great, but that does not mean their movies (if the book have movies) are good.

For example, Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining," was a great movie, and its book by Stephen King was even better, but Stephen King does not like the film.

Why doesn't he like it, well here is why. But anyways, books and movies are totally different, and not just because the movie is good, it means the book is too. Or the other way around.
